「The beauty in the ordinary(日常の中の美しさ)」
I started to paint with watercolor in 2012 and never stopped since then.
At first I painted minerals, but in 2016 I started exploring the still life which I love.
To compose scenes with random objects or typical objects or food you can find in any supermarket and It was important to me showing that you can transform anything into a beautiful painting, into something bigger, into art.
Then I started to write some messages or words instead of the object's brand to make more of my own and not something public.
Sometimes I paint human figures but always get back to still life. It is the common things out of the ordinary that keep my attention to be able to show others the beauty in the ordinary.
Theme is always changing, sometimes I am guided by colors, sometimes by them.
For example, my last solo show was about dinners or bars where you can eat and drink and find company in your solitude.
Then I painted a series of still life thinking about great events in human history, or last year I made a series of paintings about Shoujo and Shounen calcifications in manga/anime.
My inspiration comes from different places like movies which I try to watch at least one movie a week. From the streets I try to walk everyday finding new places or scenarios that I can paint after, and also anime has been very inspirational for me since I was a kid.
I also try to travel to see new things and to go to museums to see the old masters by myself since I didn't study art. And reading is important as well, to keep my mind growing not only in images, although in thoughts even.
