We traveled to Beskid Niski, a mountain range considered by many to be the wildest in Poland.
This project is about the status of women through the prism of Polish folk superstitions.
Because of a mystical understanding of the world, people believed that women are evil, impure, and dangerous, comparing them to witches.
One aspect of the cultural heritage in the Beskid Niski region is the presence of pagan beliefs and traditions that have survived through the ages.
Paganism refers to the ancient polytheistic and animistic religions practiced by various indigenous cultures before the spread of Christianity.
