‘CONTEXT’
I’ve always found the contradictions and context of color quite interesting.
The obvious associations that come to mind when you hear the word “Yellow” is sunshine, bright, light, happy but then yellow also to me anyway screams out hazardous, chemical and synthetic.
Is a cyclist wearing the high vis jacket signaling that they’re happy and wish to spread joy to our city streets or do they just really not want to get hit by a car?
I think context generally clears up issues of communication but I think there’s a lot of fun to be hand at the fringes and something constantly pushing and pulling as colors gain new associations.
