「Memories of Summer（夏の思い出）」
この作品は、私がいつも都会に住んでいたこと、そしてその夏の様子にインスピレーションを得ています。

幼い頃、夏の暑い日に、乳母のTanyaが弟と一緒に家の近くの公園に連れて行ってくれたことを覚えています。
私たちは水着を着て、通りから水遊び場まで興奮しながら走ったものです。
大きくなると友達とプールに行ったりキャンプをしたりするようになりましたが、特に好きな思い出は公園の水遊び場や、母が花の水やりのためにスプリンクラーをつけた時に、その中を走ったことです。

これらの思い出をもとに、カナダのトロントからニューヨーク、そして今回のイギリスのロンドンまで、常に都会で生活しているような作品群を作りたいと考えました。


The inspiration for urban summer comes from always having lived in a big city and what that looks like during summertime.

Growing up, I vividly remember on a hot summer’s day our nanny, Tanya, would take my younger brother and me to the local park down the street from our house.
We would walk, wearing bathing suit on, and run from the street to the splash pad in excitement.
As I got older this would turn into the swimming pool with friends and camping trips, but my favorite memory was always the splash pad in the park or running through the sprinkler when my mom would turn it on to water her flowers.

With all of these memories, I wanted to create a body of work akin to always living in a city from Toronto, Canada to New York City and now London, UK.

She aims to create work that evokes nostalgia and builds an emotion of vulnerability between the subject and viewer.
