「Sand Castles（砂のお城）」
ハイリー・センシティブ・パーソン（HSP）は、他の多くの人が気づかないことでも「見抜く」ことができる傾向があります。
この感受性の特性は、創造力や共感（ほとんどのエンパスは高感度者である可能性が高いです）、深い思考力、多感、細部へ注意を払えたり、人間関係において他の人が見逃しているものを感じ取れたりなど、非常に多くの強みを伴います。
この作品シリーズでは、そんな考えを念頭に置き、いくつか異なるテーマに分けて「砂のお城のシナリオ」を制作しました。
お城を構成する要素を彫刻的なオブジェとして扱い、さまざまなサイズや形状、テクスチャーなどの一貫性を工夫することで、スティルライフ写真の特徴である静寂とは対照的に、ある種の緊張感と大胆なエネルギーやオーラを作り出しています。
時にはダイナミックなスティルライフを構成すると共に、広いスペースから派生した2番目の「単体」の構図が存在します。
これは、最初に描いていたシーンから突如新しい視点として現れたもの。
それぞれが独自のDNAや物語、役割を持っているのです。
現代のモダンな視点と新たな「フェミニティ」を探求したこのシリーズは、視覚化した散文詩を通して、生命をいかに育むかを考えています。
遊び心、暖かさ、生々しさ、湿度、自然といった象徴的な要素が、この「驚異の部屋」を目にする人々の心に強い印象を残すのです。
A highly sensitive person (HSP) tends to be able to ''see through'' aspects that would go unnoticed by majority of others.
This sensitivity trait comes with a huge number of strengths, from creativity, to empathy (most empaths are likely highly sensitive people) to deep thinking, emotional depth, attention to detail, and an intuitive knack for making connections that other people miss.
Having this framework in mind, this works present ‘Sand Castles Scenarios’ arranged and curated by different themes.
Treating the elements of the composition as sculptural objects, ― playing with the different sizes, shapes, textures and consistency of the matter involved ― , the series become sort of alive by the theory of balance applied, in contrast to the characteristic stillness derived by still life photography, creating a sort of tension and dynamic energy/aura in the sets.
On occasions together with the wide still life composition, there is a second “single” composition, derived from the wider one, that appears all of a sudden as a new perspective of the first scene, which now has its own DNA, its own narrative and role within the whole family portrait.
Explored from contemporary modern eyes and a new wave of femininity, the series contemplates how to nurture life through ordinary visual poetic prose.
Attributes such: playful, warm, raw, wet and nature comes to the spectator’s mind when looking at this ‘cabinet of curiosities’.
