‘MOUNTAIN WALKS’
Autumn immediately comes to mind.
The colors I see around me these days in my city, Rome.
But mostly those colors remind me of mountain walks.
In this pandemic period, the only thing you can do, since you can't travel or stay in the city, is to take long walks in the woods.
There are some very beautiful places a few kilometers from my town, Rome, where it seems to be in another country.
Tall trees, wilderness, and no humans for miles. When I have free time, I take my camera and go to the mountains to walk and regenerate.
I don't meet anyone and the contact with nature is unique.
I come home with very few photos, sometimes not even shooting, so fascinated by the landscape.
Kitsune-iro is what I see every time.
A few days ago I was walking towards a lake which is 1500 meters.
The path was difficult but fascinating.
At one point I heard a noise in the trees that caught my attention.
A few meters from me there was a deer, motionless.
It was huge and beautiful and its colors were like the woods, Kitsune-iro.
We looked at each other for a long time.
I took the camera and focused him but immediately I lowered the camera. It was such a beautiful moment that if I had photographed it I would have ruined it.
I decided that this would be a moment just for me and I decided to don’t take any pictures.
The deer turned and resumed its path in the opposite direction to mine.
