「Simple（シンプル）」
白い空間、白い部屋、果てしなく続く立体の部屋。
清潔な、まだ何も書かれていない紙、無限の可能性、ゼロからの始まり、記憶の不在、限りのない選択肢、広大な空間、空白、自分自身を含むすべてのものの再定義、永遠、創造性に満ちた解放的な空間、壁はなく、天井もない、そして床もない、どの方角にも気の向くままに進むことができる。
空の状態。
光、閃光、盲目、壊れやすい、ロマンティック、新鮮、生まれたままの状態、空、本能、それは純粋で、丸裸で、心地良くはないけど自由な感覚、困難でもあり、とても眩しく、心が休まらない、余白を何かで埋めなくてはという衝動に駆られる。
私は、上述した言葉をそのままの状態で残したかったのです。
これらはホワイトという言葉が与えられて、本能的に私の脳裏に浮かんだ言葉やフレーズです。
私がどの様に振り付けを生み出すかがよく反映されているし、私自身が踊る時もまさにこう！振り付けを考案する時、最初に浮かんだ考えやアイデアは、発展の余地を残すためにできる限りシンプルなままにしておきたいのです。
制作過程で、私が最初に生まれた概念を思い返すことが多いのは、原案に対する直接的な反応が元々のアイデアを発展させるから。
どこまでそれが拡がっていくかが、とても面白いのです。
‘SIMPLE’
A white space, a white room, an endless 3D room.
A clean sheet of paper, nothing is written yet, everything is possible, start from zero, no memories, unlimited options, endless space, blank, you can reinvent anything and yourself, infinity, open creative space, no walls, no roof, no floor, you can choose any direction you want.
Empty.
Light, flashlight, blinded, fragile, romantic, fresh, untouched, sky, intuition, it ́s pure, it ́s naked, not cosy but a feeling of freedom, it ́s hard too, too bright, you can ́t rest, you have to fill the space with something.
I would like to leave the above text as it is, these are words and phrases that came to me intuitively when I was given the word ‚white.
This is reflective of how I create work, it’s also how I dance! First thoughts and ideas I prefer to keep simple as I like to give them space for development whilst working on my choreography.
Along the way, throughout the work process I tend to always look back on my original notions as they stem from a direct response to the original idea and I enjoy seeing the process of how far they can be developed.
