ニューヨーク出身の写真家 Stephen Shoreの最新作「Topographies：Aerial Surveys of the American Landscape」が、ロンドンの出版社 MACKより発売。

幼い頃から写真に親しみを持ち、17歳でAndy Warholのスタジオに通い始めたStephen Shoreは、1971年にメトロポリタン美術館にて写真家として初となる個展を開催。

その後、ニューカラーと称されるカラーフィルムを用いた写真作品の先駆者として活躍し続け、2010年には英国王立写真協会より名誉フェローが授与された。

2020年以降にドローンで撮影した写真で構成され、アメリカ全土の自然と人工的な景観の調和を鮮やかに映し出した今作。

1975年に開催されたアイコニックな展覧会「New Topographics」の原点に立ち戻り、航空写真という新しい視点を用いて、米国のランドスケープにおける客観性や普遍性を再考した。
