This work is inspired by my grandmother and the world surrounded her like my family and her house that I’m currently living, and I got a lot of inspirations of different objects, for example, rugby polos and balls, different paintings that she had made and the construction of the house as well.
The theme of this work is how I processed her death and linked that with the objects that I found around the house.
For example, I found many rugby and sailing objects, so I made a deconstruction of the whole collection from the begging to end, making a reference to the process of that how all of them is well-constructed in the beginning and then all oxidized at the end.
This is because it resembles how it would be to bury somebody underground, also referring to how the rugby players end a match or how the ships oxidize over time.
This story is based on my own memories during childhood and early adolescence, and her memories through objects related to rugby.
