「Dusky Romance（ほの暗いロマンス）」
紅色と聞くと、たくさんのものが思い浮かびます。

女性の唇に滲んだ赤ワイン。
花の中心部の、深紅の色素。
真っ黒い影。
指をべたべたにする、さくらんぼの染み。

この色は、力強く野性的な、あるいは、暗く不安定な感じがします。
絵には、いくらかのほの暗いロマンスをもたらします。
私はそれが好きなのです。


‘DUSKY ROMANCE’
Beni-iro reminds me of many things.

Red wine spread on a woman’s lips.
The deep pigment at the centre of a flower.
A dark shadow.
Cherry stains on sticky fingers.

This color feels strong and wild, dark and unsettled.
It brings a certain dusky romance to a painting.
And I like that.
