「Theater’s Backstage（劇場の舞台裏）」
劇場の舞台裏のような、モダンで遊び心のあるストーリー。
架空の女性像を作り上げ、その彼女がもしLula Japanに載るならば、という二重構成のストーリーをもとにディレクションを考えた物語です。

とは言え、大まかな構想とディレクションを決めた後は、ヘアメイクアップアーティストの石川ひろ子さんとスタイリストの中澤咲希さんの力を借りて、自由で伸びやかな空気感のある作品にしたいと思いました。
2人のクリエイティブがとても好きで、さらに被写体のSashaの豊かな表現力も加わり、素晴らしい化学変化が生まれたと感じています。


A modern and playful story reminiscent of a theater's backstage.
The narrative is based on creating an imaginary female figure and imagining how she would appear if featured in Lula Japan, forming a dual-structured storyline as the foundation for the direction.

That said, while only a rough concept and direction were decided upon, I sought to create a free and relaxed atmosphere in the work with the help of hair and makeup artist Hiroko Ishikawa and stylist Saki Nakazawa. I deeply admire the creativity of these two, and combined with the rich expressiveness of the model, Sasha, I feel a remarkable synergy emerged.

Natsumi Ito：
東京を拠点に活動するフォトグラファー、アートディレクター、グラフィックデザイナー。
紙とそれにまつわるものを好み、日々の生活の美しさを表現する感情や想像力に焦点を当て、制作活動を行っている。
近年は空間デザイン、プロップスタイリング、イラストレーション、執筆など幅広い分野で積極的に活動。
1月には写場 神楽坂にて個展「Instinto」を開催し、同名の作品集も出版した。

A photographer, art director and graphic designer based in Tokyo.
She loves paper and all things related to it, and focuses on emotions and imaginations which express the beauty of everyday life.
In recent years, she has also been involved in spatial design, prop styling, illustration, and writing.
Last January, she held a solo exhibition 'Instinto' at Shaba Kagurazaka and published a book of the same title.
