「A Body Sinking into Work(仕事に沈む身体)」
Born quietly out of chaos, this work began as a muted affirmation.
The undulating forms created through the act of sitting, along with the use of materials identical to those found in office chairs, evoke the sensation of work itself.
Rather than people adapting to work, it feels as though bodies and lives are being gradually absorbed into it.
This impression overlaps with a period in my own life when I was struggling with work, sensing that my thoughts and emotions were being consumed.
In this series, garments function as symbols of ‘work’, expressing a state in which the human body is enveloped and ultimately overtaken by it.
At the same time, moments of release are introduced through the exposure of skin.
By letting go of what has been continuously carried and worn, the flow of the body―and one’s perspective―begins to shift.
These subtle signs of change are quietly suggested through what is revealed.
